Given:-

  • Number of people in the survey = 200
  • Number of people who liked orange juice = 82
  • Number of people who disliked orange juice = 118

To find:-

The probability that the chosen person dislikes orange juice if one is chosen at random from these people.

Solution:-

We know that the formula to find the probability of an event is:-

\dfrac{Number\:of\:favourable\:outcomes}{Total\:number\:of\:outcomes}

Thus, by applying this formula, we get

\dfrac{118}{200} = \dfrac{59}{100}

Hence, the probability that the chosen person dislikes orange juice is 59/100 or 0.59 .
