we have 5377 people per square kilometer, we just have to convert a kilometer to meter. Since we know a meter is smaller than a kilometer, we know that we should have a smaller answer than per kilometer (useful when you are trying to figure out if your doing it correctly).

1 square kilometer equals 1,000,000 square meters.

So 5377/1,000,000=0.005377 people per square meter
