So the number will be in form 8y + 3 where y is 0,1,2,3…… . This number has two parts 8y and 3. The first part i.e. 8y ,is completely divisible by 4 as 8 has a factor 4, so the reminder for this part is zero. For the second part as it’s less than 4 reminder will be 3 only. So the reminder is 0+3 which is 3 only and also less than 4.
