We know that a number is divisible by 6 only when it is divisible by both 2 and 3.

If the sum of the digits of a number is a multiple of 3 then the number is divisible by 3.
This US the teest of divisibility for 3.
So,4+6+7+x+8=25+x.x should be either 2,5 or 8 for the number to be exactly divisible by 3 and finally divisible by 6.
Therefore 2,5 or 8 can fit in for the value of x.
