in 5 years time, reshma will be three times old as she was 9 years ago. how old is the now?

let her age b xyrs
after 5 years she will be of (x+5 yrs)
a/q  x+5=3(x-9)
or x+5=3x-27
 hence x=16 yrs

Let her present age be x yrs
So,her age after 5 yrs will be (x+5)yrs
And before 9 yrs she was (x-9) yrs
as given,
her age after 5 yrs=3(her age before 9 yrs)
x+5=3(x-9)
or,x+5=3x-27
or,2x=32
or,x=16
hence,she is 16 yrs old now!!
