the time taken to cover a distance is given by,

        time = distance / average speed

               t₁ =  100m / 8.4ms⁻¹ = 11.9s

  • Time taken by Rohan

              t₂ = 100m / 12.2ms⁻¹ = 8.2s

that means Revanth took 11.9s to complete 100m race and Rohan took 8.9s to complete the race. Since the school record is 12s, both of them broke the record.
