average speed= total distance/total time

here distance = 100m
and time= 10s
so, avg speed= 100/10
= 10 m/s

so your answer is b) 10m/s

hope it helps

Hey there!

Given that, In a 100m race, the winner takes 10s to reach the finishing point .

So , Distance travelled ( d) = 100 m.
Time taken = 10s

 \boxed{\mathbf { Average \: speed = \frac{ Distance \: of \: total \: journey }{ Time taken }}}

Average speed

 = \frac{100}{10} \\ \\ \\= 10m/s

Therefore , The average speed of the person is 10m/s

Required option is (b) 10
