in a 3 digit no the tens digit os thrice the units digit and the hundreds digit is four times the units digit.also the sjm of the digits is 16 find the no.

Given that

T=ten's

U=unit's

H=hundred's

According to question

T=3u

H=4u

U+T+H=16

U+3U+4U=16

8U=16

U=16/8

U=2

T=3U

T=3×2=6

H=4U

H=4×2=8

So number is 862.

Find the number

Solution

Let number at

Units digit be u

Tens digit be t

Hundreds digit be h

It is given that

t = 3u

h = 4u

It is also given that

u + t + h =16

u + 3u + 4u = 16

8u = 16

u = 2

Calculating tens place

t = 3u

t = 3*2

t = 6

Calculating hundreds place

h = 4u

h = 4*2

h = 8

The number is 862
