Total Runs by Laxman= 42×4=168
Total runs by Rahul=3×37=185

185>168
Thus Rahul scored more runs.

Diff.=185-168= 17 runs

Correct Option-C

Laxman had an average score of 42 runs per match from 4 matches
=> His average score in the series = 42 x 4 = 168 runs

Rahul had an average score of 37 runs per match from 5 matches.
=> His average score in the series = 37 x 5 = 185 runs

Difference = 185 - 168 = 17 runs

So,the correct answer is option(C) -
Rahul scored 17 runs more.
