It is also given that AB=12 cm, BC=8 cm and AC=10 cm, therefore,  

AF=AD=10−x

BE=BD=8−x

Now consider,

AB=AD+BD

⇒12=10−x+8−x

⇒12=18−2x

⇒2x=18−12

⇒2x=6

⇒x=

Therefore, CE=x=3 cm, AF=10−3=7 cm and BD=8−3=5 cm
