Triangle ABA, DE||BC, so by Basic Proportionality theorem, AD /DB = AE /EC
substituting the values, we get,
x/x-2 =x+2/x-1
By cross multiplying, we get,
x(x-1) =(x+2)(x-2)
x2 -x = x2 -4
x=4
