let the weight of copper = 5x
and the weight of zinc = 3x
the weight of copper and zinc = 240 g
therefore,
=> 5x + 3x = 240
=> 8x = 240
=> x = 30

so,
the weight of copper = 5x = 5×30
= 150 g
&
the weight of zinc = 3x = 3×30
= 90 g

hope it helps u...
