Given:
A bag of marbles.
Ratio of blue marbles =2/3
Remaining are red.
Number of red is doubled and number of blue remains same.
To Find:
The fraction of the marbles which will be red.
Solution:
Let total number of marbles = x
- Number of blue = 2x/3
- Number of red = x/3
Number of red is doubled.
- Number of red = 2x/3
Total number of balls now = 4x/3
- Fraction of red balls = (2x/3)/ ( 4x/3) = 1/2
The fraction of the marbles which are red is 1/2.
