in a bag of small balls 1/4 are green, 1/8 are blue, 1/12 are yellow and the remining 26 are white. how many balls are blue

add all the fraction values,
1/4 + 1/8 + 1/126/24 + 3/24 + 2/24 = 11/24,

all are green ,blue and yellow except white.
so 11/24  are not white
white balls = 1- 11/24 = 13/24

so 13/24 are white

we know there are 26 white balls,
let "X" be total number of balls,

so 13x /24 = 26
13x = 24 * 26
x = 48

blue balls = 1/8blue balls  = (1/8)(48)blue balls= 6

so,
the number of blue balls = 6

ATQ 1/4 of x + 1/8 of x + 1/12 of x + 26 = x
                                  6x + 3x + 2x + 624 = 24 x
                                                           24x= 11x+624
                                                           13x=624
                                                               x=48
