good bulbs=100-30=70
and probability=no.of possible outcomes/total no. of outcomes

70/100=7/10 =0.7....

GovindKrishnan: Check my detailed answer if you are confused. :)
PeehuChouksey: yes I'm sure
GovindKrishnan: 7/10 or 0.7 is the answer
ronitchopra: Ok thanks
PeehuChouksey: my ans. is short but it's also ain't confusing
PeehuChouksey: wlcm:-)

Hey There! ☺

Nice Question! ♥

Here is your answer :

Probability (event) = No. of favourable outcomes / Total no. of outcomes

Here,

No. of Bulbs = 100

Therefore, Total Outcomes = 100

No. of defective bulbs = 30

No. of good bulbs = Total no. of bulbs - No. of defective bulbs = 100 - 30 = 70

Hence, No. of favourable outcomes = 70

Thus,

P (taking good bulb) = 70/100 = 7/10
