In a bag, there are 175 notes of denominations 5 and 10. If their total value is 1000, find the number of each type of notes.

Answer:

5x+(175-x)10=1000

5x+1740-10x=1000

5x=740

x=148

5 rupee note=148

10 rupee note=27
