In a bag, there are 36 bulbs out of which 12 are defective ones. A bulb is taken out of the bag at random. find the probability of selected bulb to be good one

hey dear,

ur answer goes like this

given,

total number of bulbs = 36

and, number of defective bulb = 12.

Thus,No. of good bulbs = 36 - 12

= 24


now,

we know,

Probability = No. of favourable observation/Total no. of observations.

P(good bulbs) = 24/36 = 2/3 Ans.
