In a bag there are 80 oranges which need to be shared with 3 students in a ratio of 2:3:5. How much oranges will each student get?

In any ratio question there is a missing number which gets cancelled in ratio. Let this number be x in this case.

Then three students get: 2x, 3x, and 5x

Add them 2x+3x+5x=10x

10x=80

x=80/10= 8

So the missing number is 8

Then one student gets 2x=2×8=16

2nd student gets 3x=3×8=24

And the 3rd student gets 5x=5×8=40
