Given:

Total number of balls = 40

Red balls = 18

Probability that first ball is red and second being green = 3/26.

To Find:

Number of blue balls in the bag

Solution:

Let the green ball be = x

Therefore, ATQ -

18/40 × x/39 = 3/26

= 18x/1560 = 3/26

= 4680/ 468

= 10

Therefore, number of blue balls -

= 40 - 18 - 10

= 12

Answer: The number of blue balls is 12.
