In a bangle shop, the shopkeeper is trying to display his bangles in the form of a square. When he tried a particular square size, he was left with 38 bangles in excess. When
he increased the size of the square by one unit each side, he was 25 bangles short of completing the square. What is the number of bangles he has in his shop?

 {(x + 1)}^{2}  -  {x}^{2}  = 38 + 25

2x + 1 = 63

2x = 63 - 1

x =  \frac{62}{2}

x = 31

 {31}^{2}  = 961

so \: required \: number = 961 + 38 = 999
