In order to produce a fruit the male gamete which is produced by the anther, the part of stamen should be fused with the female egg cell.. when we remove stamen or most precisely anther, we are emasculating it. so there is no fusion between gametes , but do note that the pollen grain from other plant can germinate it, which will develop into a fruit or we can induce parthenocarpy techniques.. in which fruit is produced without the fusion of gametes, you might have had it (apples, grapes specially) one thing you could do to determine is it parthenocarpic fruit or the natural one is to see for seeds parthenocarpic fruit don't have seed. well after all the answer would be yes why can't ..
