Stamens are the part of male reproductive part of the flower. It has a rounded structure on the top called anther, which produces pollen grains(or male sex cells) that take part in reproduction.Without pollen grains the reproduction in plants cannot occur.(since it is a sexual reproduction).
If it is removed then there is a only way by which it can produce a fruit.i.e by cross pollination.
The stigma must have recieved pollen grains from the anther of the another flower. That had taken part in reproduction and later produces a fruit.
