In a botanical garden, there are 1,080 flowers. Out of these, 3/10 flowers are pink, 2/5 are purple and the rest are yellow. How many pink, purple and yellow flowers are there in this garden? ​

Fraction of pink flowers = 3/10

Fraction of purple flower = 2/5

⇒ Fraction of yellow flowers = 1 - (2/5 + 3/10) = (10 - 4 + 3)/10 = 3/10

Total no. of flowers = 1,080

∴ No. of pink flowers = 3/10 × 1080 = 324

No. of purple flowers = 2/5 × 1080 = 432

No. of yellow flowers = 3/10 × 1080 = 324
