In a bowl there is 30 lt syrup and water .The ratio of syrup to water is 7:3 .How much water must be added to the mixture so that the syrup to water is 3:7​

1 part = 3

7 part = 21 lit syrup

3 part = 9 lit water

here water only is added ,

so , 3 part = 21 litre of syrup

7 part = x

apply cross multiplication method,

x = 49 litres of water

already 9 litre of water is present in it, so 9 is subtracted

only 40 litre of water is added
