Given:

Total no. of marbles in the box = 25

No. of green marbles = 10

No. of blue marbles = 15

To find:

The fraction of green marbles and blue marbles

Solution:

Using the given data, we will calculate the fraction of green and blue marbles:

∴ The fraction of green marbles is,

= \frac{No. \:of\:green \:marbles\: in\: the\: box }{Total\:marbles\:in \:the\:box}

= \frac{10}{25}

= \frac{2}{5}

and

∴ The fraction of blue marbles is,

= \frac{No. \:of\:blue \:marbles\: in\: the\: box }{Total\:marbles\:in \:the\:box}

= \frac{15}{25}

= \frac{3}{5}

Thus, the fraction of green marbles is \underline{\bold{\frac{2}{5}}} and blue marbles is \underline{\bold{\frac{3}{5}}}.
