and current in the circuit was found to be l = lo sin ot+0+π ÷4

Ans ; as the current is leading the voltage ,therefore this confirms the circuit have capacitor . Thus Z is may be the combination of capacitor and resistor Or

the combination of capacitor,resistor and inductor ( Xl≤Xc)

E = Eo sin(ωt+Ф), l = lo sin ωt+Ф+π/4.

To find: The unknown element in the box may be​?

Solution:

  • So we have given the function:

             E = Eo sin(ωt+Ф)

             l = lo sin ωt+Ф+π/4.

  • Now we can see that the current is leading the voltage by π/4.
  • So now, the load should have the capacitor.
  • Also we know that the Z is the summation of resistance and the capacitor.
  • Also we can say that Z is the combination of:

              capacitor , inductor and reistance

  • By the following condition:

             X(capacitor) > X(inductor)

Answer:

           The unknown element in the box may be​ either Capacitor, resistor and inductor or only capacitor and Resistor.
