Given that:

  • In a Brahmas press a force of 10 kg wt, is applied on a piston of area of cross section 5 cm².

To Find:

  • The upward thrust exerted by the piston of area of cross section 50 cm².

We have:

  • Force = 10 kg wt.
  • Area = 5 cm²

We know that:

Pressure = Force/Area

ㅤㅤㅤㅤ= 10/5

ㅤㅤㅤㅤ= 2

ㅤ∴ ㅤPressure = 2 kg wt./cm²

Finding the upward thrust:

  • When area = 50 cm²

Pressure = Force/Area

ㅤ↠ㅤ50 = Force/2

ㅤ↠ㅤForce = 50 × 2

ㅤ↠ㅤForce = 100

Hence,

  • The upward thrust exerted by the piston 100 kg wt.

Given Data :

In a Brahmas press a force of 10 kg wt, is applied on a piston of area of cross section 5cm.

➻ Force = 10kgwt

➻ Area = 5cm²

To Find :

Calculate the upward thrust exerted by the piston of area of cross section 50 cm.

Solution :

By using, Pressure = Force ÷ Area

⇒ Pressure = 10/5

Pressure = 2 kg.wt/cm²

Now, Finding The Upward Thrust :-

here, Area = 50cm²

and, Pressure = 2 kg.wt/cm²

we use, Pressure = Force ÷ Area

⇒ 50 = Force/2

⇒ Force = 50 * 2

Force = 100 kg.wt

FINAL ANSWER :

Force exerted on the piston with Area of Cross Section as 50cm is 100 kg.wt .
