Answer:

I is staying between the floors of J and F.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Given, there are  5 floors in which 5 people- F, G, H, I, J are living
  • also, I and H are living on an even numbered floor. So I and H could be in 2nd or 4th floor.
  • But its given J lives immediately above I but J does not live on the topmost floor.
  • So I is living in 2nd floor and J is living in 3rd floor.
  • Then H is living in 4th floor.
  • Again, G is not on the floor below that of I. Since I is in 2nd floor, G will not be in 1st floor. the only remaining one is 5th floor. So G is living in 5th floor.
  • Among the 5 people, the remaining person is F and F lives in 1st floor.

Thus, I is staying between the floors of J and F.
