Correct Question :- In a business A invests 12000. After some days B joins the business and invests 16000 in it. 9 month after B joins, A and B get same profit. Find for how many days A's money was invested in the business. ?

Solution :-

Let after x months B joined the business .

So,

→ Amount invested by A = Rs. 12000

→ Time period = (x + 9) months

and,

→ Amount invested by B = Rs. 16000

→ Time period = 9 months

A/q,

→ 12000(x + 9) : 16000 * 9 = 1 : 1

→ 12000(x + 9)/16000 * 9 = 1 / 1

→ 12000(x + 9) = 16000 * 9

→ 12x + 108 = 144

→ 12x = 144 - 108

→ 12x = 36

→ x = 3 months .

therefore,

→ A's money was invested in the business for = (x + 9) = 3 + 9 = 12 months = 1 year (Ans.)
