In a camera flash circuit , A 2000 micro F capacitor is charged by a 1.5V cell. When a flash is required energy stored in the capacitor is discharged by means of a trigger T through a discharge tube in 0.1 mili sec. Find the energy stored in the capacitor and the power of the flash

Given,

C = 2000*10^{-6}F F

V = 1.5 V

As per the question,

(i) Energy stored  in the capacitor = ½ CV^{2}

On putting the values,

                                         = ½ * 2000 * 10^{-6} * (1.5)^{2}

                                    = 2.25 * 10^{-3} J

Energy stored (U) = form of Work done (W)

(ii) Power =\frac{work}{time}

                  = \frac{energy stored}{time}

                  =\frac{2.25 *10^{-3}}{0.1*10^{-3}}

                  = 22.5 W

Answer:

Explanation:

Given:-

C = 2000 10ki power -6 F

V = 1.5 V

To Find:-

(i)  Energy stored  in the capacitor

(ii) Power = work / time

Formula to be used:-

Energy stored  in the capacitor = ½ CV²

Power = work / time

= energy stored / time

Solution:-

(i)  Energy stored  in the capacitor = ½ CV²

= ½ CV²

= ½ × 2000 × 10^-6 × (1.5)²

= 2.25 × 10 ki power -3 J

Energy stored (U) = form of Work done (W)

(ii)    Power = work / time

= energy stored / time

= 2.25 × 10 ki power -3 / 0.1 × 10 ki power

= 22.5 W.
