Step-by-step explanation:

In an army camp ration is available for 100 soldiers for 10 days. After 2 days, 60 soldiers joined. How many more days will the remaining ration last?

Rule the new normal!

5 more days

Let us say that a soldier eats 'n' units of food in a day.

Total ration available = 100 soldiers * 10 days * n = 1000n

In 2 days, 100 soldiers would consume = 100n*2 = 200n

Remaining food = 1000n - 200n = 800n

Number of soldiers = 100 + 60 = 160

Amount of food these soldiers will eat in a day = 160n

Number of days the food will last = 800n / 160n = 5 days

In an army camp, there are 800 soldiers. There is enough food for them for 60 days. If 400 more soldiers arrive at the camp after 10 days, how many days will the food last?

An army camp had food provisions for 150 men for 45 days. After 10 days 25 men left the camp. How long will the food last?

In a camp of 4400 men there was stock of food for 80 days. After 25 days a few men joined the camp and the remaining food lasted for another 40 days more. How many men joined after 25 days?

In a camp of 2,000 soldiers, there were provisions for 25 days. After 10 days, 1,000 soldiers have left the camp. For how many days would the remaining provisions last?

An army camp of 250 soldiers had provisions for 44 days. A fresh batch of 300 soldiers joined the camp. For how many days will the provisions last?

5 days

{ It is a indirect proportion question

No. of days is inversely proportional to no of soldiers }

100 soldiers — 10days

After two days, food is left for 8 days

100 soldiers → 8 days

60 more joins them

160 soldiers → x days

Since the amount of food is not changed, amount of food consumed by 100 soldiers in 8 days is equal to food consumed by 160 soldiers in x days.

Definitely x will be less than 8.

Since no. of soldiers increase no of days decrease.

100*8 = 160*x

800 = 160*x

800/ 160 =x

80/16 =x

x = 5

Step-by-step explanation:

Total stock of food will be enough for 1000*62*2 individual meals.

since 380 people did not come, the food has to suffice for 620*4 individual meals a day.

Let d be no of days for which the food was suffice for 620 people (4meals a day)

1000*62*2=620*d*4

d= 50 days
