Question :–

In a camp, there is enough provision for 500 students for 30 days. if 100 more students join the camp, for how many days will the provision last now ?

Given :–

  • Number of students = 500

If 100 more students join the camp it means,

  • 500 + 100 = 600 Students.
  • provision for students = 30 days.

To Find :–

  • How many days will the provision last now ?

Solution :–

Let, the days will the provision last day be x.

† It is an inverse variation as the people increase and the provision decrease †

→ 500 × 30 = 600x

→ x =  \sf \dfrac{500 \times 30}{600}

→ x =  \sf \dfrac{\cancel{150} \cancel{00}}{\cancel{6} \cancel{00}}

 \boxed {\sf \blue{x = 25}}

Hence,

In 25 days will the provision last.
