In a car lift, a car of 1200kg is resting on a platform of surface area 10 m^2. what pressure should the platform on the car sodas to lift it

  =1200×9.8

  =11760 N

As we know that

Pressure=Force/Area

               = 11760/10

               =1176 N/m²

No, since the car is already exerting 1176 N/m² of pressure, so the platform should exert pressure greater than 1176 N/m² to lift the car.
