Answer:

K=basketball, S= baseball

10K

5S

3 K & S

26 total

P(K) = 10/26, P(S) = 5/26 P(K^S) = 3/26

P(K v S) = P(K) + P(S) - P(K^S) = 10/26 + 5/26 - 3/26 = 12/26 = 6/13

Probability of randomly getting a student who plays either basketball or baseball = 6/13
