Given:

Number of students: 28

Number of students who play basketball: 7

Number of students who play baseball: 5

Number of students who play neither sport: 18

Hence,

The number of students who play games are:

28 - 18 = 10

Number of students who are playing both the games:

(7 + 5) - 10 = 12-10 = 2

Hence,

The probability that a student chosen randomly from the class plays both basketball and baseball is:

P = 2/28

P= 1/14

P= 0.072

Hence: the probability that a student chosen randomly from the class plays both basketball and baseball is 0.072
