in a certain examination 50% student passed in account 30% student passed in English 30% student failed in both and 25 students passed in both subjects. find the number of students who passed in account only​

let there are 100x students

now accounts are passed by 50x students and English is passed by 30x

now 30x are failed so we exclude them

so 70x students passed exam

but we can find that

accounts passed= 50x

English passed = 30x

but total students passed are 70x

so the students passed in both exams are 10x=25

X= 2.5

students passed are 125(50x2.5=125)
