if alphabets are given numbers like value of A is 1,B-2,C-3-------------------Z-26
then sum alphabets in CAT=3+1+20=24.In given language CAT=12=24/2
i.e,sum of numbers/2 similarly,MAT=13+1+20/2=34/2=17
JAM=10+1+13/2=24/2=12
so answer is 12

Answer:

The answer will be option - D) 12.

Step-by-step explanation:

First, we know that, 'C' is the 'third' letter in the English alphabet.

So, C = 3

Similarly, 'A' and 'T' are the 'first' and 'twentieth' letters in the alphabet respectively.

So, A= 1 and T= 20

By adding  ( C + A + T )= 3 + 1 + 20= 24

 We'll get the number 24.

Now, as we know that half of the number 24 is 12.

∴ CAT = 12

Again, we know that 'M' is the 'thirteenth' alphabet in the alphabetical series.

So, M = 13

We have seen above that 'A' and 'T' stand in the 'first' and 'twentieth' position in the alphabet.

So, A=  1 and T= 20

By adding (M+ A+ T)= 13 + 1 + 20= 34

 We'll get the number 34.

Now, half of the number 34 is 17.

  ∴ MAT = 17

Now, 'J' is the 'tenth' letter in the alphabet, whereas 'A' and 'M' are the 'first'and 'thirteenth' letters in the alphabet.

So, J = 10, A = 1 ,and M = 13

By adding  (J+ A+ M)= 10 + 1 + 13= 24

 We'll get the number 24.

Now, half of the number 24 is 12.

 ∴ JAM = 12
