Given : the proportion of people having blood of types O, A, B and AB are 42%, 28%, 18% and 12% respectively  .  blood samples are taken from four people

To Find :  probability  to the proposition that they are all of different types

Solution:

Probability O  = 0.42

Probability A = 0.28

Probability B = 0.18

Probability AB = 0.12

probability they are all of different types  = P(O).P(A).P(B).P(AB)

= 0.42 x 0.28 x 0.18 x 0.12

=   0.00254

probability  to the proposition that they are all of different types

= 0.00254

=  0.254 %
