Answer:

Let the total number of students be x.

Percentage of students below 8 years=20%

Number of students of 8 years of age =48

Number of students above 8 years of age=

 = >   \frac{2}{3}  \times 48

 = >  2 \times 16

 = >  32 \: students

Number of students above 8 years of age= 32

Number of students which are 8 years old and above 8 years old= 48+32=80

Percentage of students which are 8 years old and above 8 years old=100%-20%

=80%

 = >  x  \: of  \: 80\% = 80 students

 = > x \times  \frac{80}{100}  = 80

 = >  x \times  \frac{4}{5}  = 80

 = >  x = 80 \times  \frac{5}{4}

 = > x = 20 \times 5

 =  > x = 100 students

:.The total number of students in the class =x=100 students.
