In a certain school, 20% of students are under the age of 8. The number of students above the age of 8 are ⅔ of the students who are eight years of age which is 48. What is the total number of students in this school?

Total number of the students in school=100

Number of students of 8 years of age is 48

and students above 8 years of the age is 2/3 of the number of students of 8 years of age then total number of students of 8 year and above 8 years of age is

48+48×2/3=80 and total number of students in the school is 80/80×100=100

Hence the total number of students in school is 100
