Let the number of students be x. Then,

Number of students above 8 years of age

=(100−20)%ofx=80%ofx∴80%ofx=48+23of48⇒80100x=80⇒x=100

=(100−20)%ofx=80%ofx∴80%ofx=48+23of48⇒80100x=80⇒x=100

Step-by-step explanation:

No. of students of 8 years of age = 48

No. of students above 8 years of age =

2/3*48 = 32

Let total no. of students be x.

then, (100-20) = 80% of x = 48+32 = 80

Hence, total no. of students = 100

Hope the answer helps you.
