Answer:

Given, the no. of students 8 years of age is = 48.

Therefore, the no. of students above 8 years of age = 48 x 2/3 = 32.

As 20 percent studens are below 8 years of age, hence 80 percent studens are 8 & above 8 years of age. So total no. of 80 percent students are =(48+32)= 80.

Now, 80 percent = 80

1 percent = (80/80)

and 100 percent = (80/80)* 100 which is = 100.

Therefore the total no. of studens = 100.

Answer:

let the number of total students be X

no of students above 10 years =1/2*100=50

no of students below 10 years=X of 25%=X/4

according to the problem,

X/4+50+100=X

150=X -X/4

150=4x-x/4

150=3x/4

X=150*4/3

X=200

there are 200 students in the school (answer)
