Given :   in a certain school of 200 students ,the students can study french,spanish,,both or neither .

To find :  what percent of student study french only

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say

Study Both & Study Neither  =  B

One quarter of those who study spanish also study french

=> one  quarter of those who study spanish Study Both

=> Study Spanish=  4B

Study Spanish only = 4B  - B  = 3B

Study French  =  3B  - 10

Total Students  =  Study Spanish + Study French  - Study Both + Study Neither

200 = 4B  + 3B - 10   + B - B

=> 7B = 210

=> B = 30

French Only =  French - Both  =  3B - 10 - B

= 2B - 10

= 2(30) - 10

=  50

percent of student study french only = (50/200) * 100 = 25 %

25 %  of student study french only
