According to the modern reactivity series the Zinc is always more reactive than the Iron ...thus iron is less reactive than zinc ..it is unable to displace Zn from it's Salt Zinc sulphate...

as per the metal displacement reaction ,
a more reactive metal displaces the less reactive metal with its salt solution , so there iron is less reactive then zinc so , iron is unable to displace zinc from zinc sulphate solution.
