Answers
the amount of energy generated after three seconds is 15%
Given :- In a chemical reaction the amount of energy generated decreased by 5% every second find the percentage decrease in the amount of energy generated after three seconds ?
Solution :-
we have to find successive rate of 5% for 3 consecutive seconds .
we know that, successive rate of x% for 2 consecutive times is equal to :-
- 2x + (x²/100)
So,
→ successive rate of 5% for 2 consecutive seconds = 5*2 + (5*5/100) = 10 + 0.25 = 10.25 .
Now, successive rate of 10.25% and 5% = (10.25 + 5) + (10.25*5/100) = 15.25 + 0.5125 = 15.7625 % (Ans.)
Hence, the amount of energy generated after three seconds is 15.7625% .
