In a China dish 7 g iron filings and 4 g sulphur powder are mixed . suggest a chemical method to separate them

You can use a magnet as all the iron fillings will stuck to the magnet and hence the mixture will be separated.

Hey is ur answer...they can be separated by physical method by two way nit by chemical-
1.bring a magnet near the muxture and iron filings get attracted n separated
2.dissolve the mixture in CS2(carbon disulphide)where sulphure dissolves n iron filings dont n by evaporation..they get separated
