= give diameter = 40cm

∴ find radius

∴using formula:-

  =  =  > radius = \frac{d}{2}

 =  =  >radius =   \frac{66}{2}

 =  =  > radius = 33

in figure:-

∴AB=r = 33cm

∴AC= r = 33cm

∴BC= length of the chord = 33cm

∴so, AB=AC=BC= 33cm

∴hence, ∆ ABC is equilateral.

∴as in equilateral triangle all angles are 60°

hence ∠BAC is 60°

∅=60

hence ∅ = 60°

radius measure π/180× degree measure.

= 60°× π/180

= π/3

now putting value in formula

= ∠=rø

= 33 × π/ 3

= 33π/3

= hence the minor arc of the chord is = 33π/3

= 11cm
