Given : In a circle of diameter 84cm an arc subtends  angel of 60° at the center

To Find : what will be the length of arc

Solution:

Diameter of circle = 84 cm

Diameter = 2 x Radius

=> 84 = 2 x Radius

=> radius = 42 cm

r = 42

Length of arc = ( Subtended angle / 360 ) * 2 π r

= (60°/360°) * 2 π * 42

= (1/6) *  2 π * 42

=  2π * 7

π = (22/7)

= 2(22/7) * 7

= 2 * 22

= 44 cm

length of arc = 44 cm

Answer:

Length of arc is 44 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Diameter of circle = 84 cm

Angle at centre (θ) = 60°

π = 22/7

To find:

Length of arc

Solution:

Radius is half of diameter.

Radius = ½ * Diameter

=> Radius = ½ * 84

=> Radius = 42 cm

Now,

Length of arc = (θ / 360) * 2πr

=> l (arc) = (60 / 360) * 2 * 22/7 * 42

=> l (arc) = 1/6 * 44/7 * 42

=> l (arc) = 1/6 * 44 * 6

=> l (arc) = 1 * 44

=> l (arc) = 44 cm

So,

Length of arc is 44 cm.
