In a circle of radius 21 cm, an arc subtends an angle of 60° at the centre. Find the area of minor and major segment of the circle.​

angle =ø=60°

radius =r=21cm

area of circle =πr²=22/7 ×21×21=1386cm²

area of major segment=ø/360° ×πr²=

60/360 ×1386=231cm²

area of minor segment=area of circle-area of major

segment

=1386-231=1155cm²
