Answer:

A circle has 360 degrees. An arc is the portion of the circumference of a circle in x degrees of the circle.

Where here x=60 degree (given)

so, there is a formula to find the arc length:

(length of the arc / Circumference) = (Central angle / 360)

where, Central angle = x = 60

and circumference of circle = 2*pi*r = 2 * 3.14 * 4          [i.e pi=3.14 , r=4 (given)]

so, Length of the arc = (60 / 360) * (Circumference)

                                  = (60 / 360) * (2 * 3.14 * 4)

                                  = 4.1887 cm

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

{ NOTE: There is another formula if he asked to find " Area of the Sector" then:

(Area of the Sector / Area of circle) = (Central angle / 360)    }

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hope you like it :)
